Locum Social Worker – Referral & Assessment Team – Wokingham, UK – £35.89 per hour – Ongoing, Full Time

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families, identifying needs and risks.

  • Collaborate with families and multi-agency professionals to develop tailored support and intervention plans.

  • Respond promptly to safeguarding concerns and ensure children’s safety is prioritised.

  • Maintain accurate, clear case records and documentation in line with statutory requirements.

  • Participate in a duty rota and be office-based one week out of every three.

  • Offer professional guidance and support to families throughout the assessment and planning process.


Who We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Social Worker who can build positive relationships with children and families, apply sound judgement, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

You should have:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Excellent written record-keeping and case management.

  • A thorough understanding of children’s legislation, safeguarding procedures, and threshold criteria.

  • Proven reliability and a solid commitment to previous roles.
