Social Worker – Children in Care Team (Children’s Services), Bournemouth
Hourly Rate: £45.00 | Contract: Ongoing
Working Pattern: Full-time or Part-time available | Location: Bournemouth, Dorset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out comprehensive assessments of children in care, ensuring their needs are fully understood and met.

  • Develop, implement, and regularly review individualised care plans in line with statutory requirements and best practice.

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, external agencies, and care providers to ensure a multi-agency approach to support.

  • Represent and advocate for children in court proceedings and formal meetings when required.

  • Maintain clear, accurate, and timely case records in accordance with legal and procedural guidelines.

  • Foster strong, supportive relationships with children and their families to promote stability and trust.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with active Social Work England registration.

  • Proven experience working within children’s social care, ideally within a Children in Care team.

  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and related safeguarding frameworks.

  • Excellent communication, advocacy, and report-writing skills.
