We present an exciting opportunity for a skilled Social Worker within the Family Safeguarding team in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. What you will do:

– Complete statutory visits for Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC).
– Chair Child in Need and core group meetings to guide interventions and support.
– Manage and hold a caseload of CIN, CP, and CIC which may include cases involved in Public Law Outline (PLO) or S31 care proceedings.
– Produce comprehensive court reports, risk assessments, and parenting assessments.
– Attend court with the guidance of a senior practitioner or team manager.
– Contribute to the duty rota, providing essential support where needed.
– Participate in Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPC) and Review Child Protection Conferences (RCPC), including writing comprehensive conference reports.
– Conduct thorough risk management and assessment to ensure child safety and welfare.
