Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Adult’s Locality Team to work full time based in Barnet.
The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £41,793 per annum.
Main duties:
- Working as part of a supportive team to working with individuals to promote and support independence choice and control with wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.
- Conducting individual complex assessments and safeguarding enquiries using the appropriate tools and techniques in order to establish clear, relevant, proportionate, and appropriate options for the individual to meet their identified outcomes.
- Working in partnership with adults, their families, carers and advocates, colleagues, external organisations to provide appropriate, professional Social Work support for vulnerable older people, adults with physical and sensory impairment, adults with mental health difficulties , learning disability and carers Conducting Mental Capacity Act assessments in line with statutory guidance and ensuring adults are provided with the opportunity to demonstrate capacity wherever possible.
- We have modernised our way of working so that we can work in a mobile and flexible way.
- Responsible for delivering an integrated, evidence based approach to supporting people with established health and social care needs or escalating needs and their families to achieve improved outcomes.
- To build string partnerships with communities, agencies and services to develop and increase their capacity to include and meet the needs of people with disabilities, mental health illnesses, sensory impairments, older people and their families.
- To get to know, build and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, their families, and communities in a local area that have been referred into the service.
- To take delegated responsibility for specific projects, developments and initiatives.
Requirements of this role:
- Social work qualification with registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in managing social work caseloads and supervising others.
- Experience of community and/or group work.
- Knowledge of children’s health and social care systems, agencies, and relevant legislation.
