Job Description
Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Deputy Manager within the Children in Need Team to work full time based in Guernsey.
The salary for this permanent Deputy Manager job is up to £67,925 per annum.
Main duties:
- Assist the Team Manager in leading and develop an integrated service for children, young people and families, with responsibility for the management of safe and effective service delivery.
- Model behaviours that encourage reflective practice, professional confidence and sound decision making.
- Communicate and liaise with other agencies, which involves giving and receiving highly complex and sensitive information.
- Liaise with other departments within the directorate and external agencies, both statutory and voluntary.
- Ensure that risk assessment strategies are employed within areas of responsibility and that relevant actions are taken to minimise any identified risks.
- Assist the Team Manager in utilising information and data from a range of sources to identify problems, guide decision making process and develop service delivery.
- Actively ensure service staff are aware of organisational objectives, policies and procedures and the implications of their practice.
- Ensure that any staff with performance issues are appropriately managed to address their development needs in consultation with the Team Manger.
- Ensure operational, professional and management activities meet with and integrated with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
- Produce written reports and timely verbal feedback that provides an account of operational management issues and plans, including achievements and unexpected variances to service managers.
Requirements of this Deputy Manager job:
- A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Continual professional development.
- Social Work England registered.
