Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Supervising Social Worker to work full time for an IFA, working from home, based near Greater Manchester.
The salary for this permanent Supervising Social Worker job is up to £36,000
Main Duties:
- To supervise foster carers
- Ensure that all agreements appertaining to the placement are completed and adhered to
- Participate in the recruitment and training of foster carers where required
- To ensure that Credo Care staff and carers are working within the requirements of the Fostering Regulations 2011 and the National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services 2011
- Maintain records of placements, i.e. case recording, placement agreements, assessment reports, carer reviews, carer supervision and child progress reports
- Attend and participate in childcare reviews, case conferences and other meetings as appropriate
- Liaise with the managers regarding referrals, matching considerations and meetings and carry out negotiations between Credo Care and placing authorities with respect to the placement of children
- Undertake initial home visit to prospective foster carers
- Take part in the emergency ‘Out of Hours’ service
- To be a member of the Credo Care Fostering Panel where needed
- To chair social work meetings in the absence of the Regional Manager
- Attend social work meetings on a regular basis to share information regarding children in placement
- Support the Regional Managers and Director of Care in leading practice and work quality improvements
- Assist with the training of foster carers as required
- Ensure that the child’s care plan is carries out in accordance with the requirements of the placing authority and in consultation with the child’s social worker, foster carers, parents as necessary
- Undertaking training as and when required
Requirements of this job:
- A social Work Qualification or equivalent
- Understanding of relevant legislation
- Continual professional development
- Social Work England registered
