Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a SEND Improvement Service Manager to work full time based in Haringey.

The salary for this permanent SEND Improvement Service Manager job is up to £61,491 per annum.

Main duties:

  • To lead, develop and manage SEND performance, data and finance services to improve outcomes for young people.
  • To be responsible for effective management of Team Managers and other staff as required and to provide accountability for the delivery of services to young people and their families.
  • To ensure that the high quality of work is maintained as a uniformly high standard and that team members expertise and special skills are developed (through the use of supervision, appraisal and standard setting).
  • To take a lead role in the delivery of the Safety Value programme ensuring that delivery is within timescales and meeting programme milestones, including overseeing the work of project managers.
  • To work with managers across the Children and Young People’s Service to ensure children receive a seamless and holistic response to their needs.
  • To be accountable for allocated resources and to ensure the most effective use of allocated budgets, adhere to Best Value principles, control cost and enhance value.
  • To work in partnership with key stakeholders, including, but not exclusively, young people, parents, carers, school, commissioning and finance colleagues.
  • Understanding, knowledge and ability to follow guidelines that ensures compliance with Health and Safety at Work, Data Protection and other statutory requirements.
  • Understanding and commitment promoting and implementing the Council’s Equal Opportunities policies.
  • To undertake any other temporary responsibilities aligned with the overall purpose and grade of the role.

Requirements of this role:

  • Social work qualification with registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in managing social work caseloads and supervising others.
  • Experience of community and/or group work.
  • Knowledge of children’s health and social care systems, agencies, and relevant legislation.
