Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Lead Practitioner within the Adult Social Care Team to work full time based in Barnet.
The salary for this permanent Lead Practitioner job is up to £47,805 per annum.
Main duties:
- The mentoring and supervision to staff within the team ensuring professional standards and best practice.
- Ensuring that the responsibility of safeguarding adults at risk is a fundamental element of this job and that the principles are embedded in all procedures, practices, professional advice, decisions and support.
- Working alongside and when required deputising for the team manager to prompt an environment of a supportive team enabling them and yourself to work with individuals to promote and support independence choice and control with wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.
- Conducting individual complex assessments and safeguarding enquiries to establish clear, relevant, proportionate, and appropriate options for the individual to meet their identified outcomes.
- Working in partnership with adults, their families, carers and advocates, colleagues, external organisations to provide appropriate, professional social work support for vulnerable older people, adults with physical and sensory impairment or learning disability and carers We offer a 36 hour a week, hybrid working with a mixture of office and home working, although staff are welcome to be office based fulltime if they wish.
Requirements of this role:
- Social work qualification with registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in managing social work caseloads and supervising others.
- Experience of community and/or group work.
- Knowledge of children’s health and social care systems, agencies, and relevant legislation.
