Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a  Social Worker within the Kinship Team to work full time based in Hillingdon.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £48,293per annum.

Main duties:

  • Accepting client cases, as allocated by the manager, in line with the departmental protocols for case allocation and workload management.
  • Working with those clients who are the most vulnerable, or at the most risk and will be expected to have a higher degree of professional autonomy and accountability for their work.
  • Managing your own workload, with support from the manager in a way which: ensures professional best practice and integrity at all times, recognises the individual needs of each child/adult, and the importance of their family/carers.
  • Assessing for and identifying eligible needs, deploying resources which maintain and promote children and young adults welfare/independence that may include, for example, respite/domiciliary care, support to carers or other appropriate services. Reviewing to ensure services remain appropriate to need.
  • Recognising the needs of the child/adult in regards to referrals to other professionals to deliver the required services.
  • To participate in case conferences to share knowledge and give professional advice regarding children/adults.
  • Where agreed with your line manager, to provide guidance and learning opportunities for unqualified staff. This will involve modelling good practice for other team and service staff.
  • To participate in planning for team and individuals which reflect service planning priorities.
  • To identify and suggest any improvements to current ways of working in order to deliver a more efficient and effective service for customers.
  • Complete other reasonable tasks in order to fulfil role purpose or as instructed by management.

Requirements of this Social Worker Job.

  • Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
  • Current Social Work England Registration.
  • Experience within Children’s Services.
  • Full Drivers Licence and have use of a vehicle.
