Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Residential Childcare Worker to work full time based in a Children’s home in Leeds.
The salary for this permanent Residential Childcare Worker job is up to £27,507
Main Duties:
- Specialise in providing nurture and care to children and young people who are looked after
- Create a home environment that exceeds the needs of the children and young people – enabling them to express their characters, feel safe and enrich their lives
- Advocate pro-actively for each young person’s needs, rights and views and ensure that these are met
- Make certain that each young person’s individuality, difference and diversity are always appreciated and that our young people are provided with equal opportunities and are not discriminated against
- Encourage each young person to be involved in all aspects of their care, this will involve skill development, problem solving and assessment of risk, while being mindful of their individual capabilities
- Our Residential Childcare Workers carry out an essential and varied role to provide the support required by the children and young people in our care
Requirements of this job:
- Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent, or willingness to undertake this
- Knowledge of children’s care and safeguarding
- Understanding of Ofsted inspections
