Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Registered Residential Care Home Manager to work full time based in a Children’s home in the Birmingham and Solihull area.

The salary for this permanent Registered Residential Care Home Manager job is up to £45,000.

Main Duties:

  • Day-to-day management of staff and the care and support of the residents
  • Implementing and following the home’s operational policies and care practice standards
  • Ensuring the safety of all young people accommodated in the home
  • Promoting partnership with young people, their families, social workers, and other professionals to meet the needs of the young person
  • Providing care within a warm and supportive atmosphere
  • Implementing individual care plans to ensure the welfare of each resident
  • Offering support and guidance to staff, bank staff, and volunteers
  • Overseeing recruitment, training, and supervision of staff
  • Conducting internal audits and regulation 44/45 reports

Requirements of this job:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent, or willingness to undertake this
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within Children’s residential care at a senior level
  • Ability to show leadership skills
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections
