Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Team Leader to work full time based in a Semi-Independent Living Setting in Ilford.
The salary for this permanent Team Leader job is up to £33,000
Main Duties:
- To assist in the development of new techniques and approaches to care provisions
- To liaise and attend multi agency meetings with external agencies
- Encourage development of individual interests and attitudes
- To work with high risk / need clients
- To ensure safeguarding and protecting the welfare of each young person.
- Establish and maintain positive and trusting relationships with the young people that will promote their sense of security
- Provide firm, consistent, and fair boundaries in respect of their behaviour
- Ensure that appropriate medical help is provided in cases of illness and accidents
- Promote the development of a healthy lifestyle for Young People
- To complete and monitor risk assessments and arrange for annual maintenance and fire inspections
- To assist and support Young People through the process of leaving care
- To support Young People in develop their full educational and vocational attainment
- Observe and assess the behaviour of Young People
- To engage in and supervise care practices, creating an accepting environment conducive to the positive personal development of each Young Person
- To undertake in planning for and preparation of Young People for admission or discharge
- This may include professional negotiations to ensure that the Young Person transfers to an environment stable for that individual and one where he/she can cope or be assisted to cope
- To case record all interactions in accordance with Evidence Based Practice using the recording database
Requirements of this job:
- To hold a full driving license and have access to a vehicle
- • To hold a QCF/NVQ3 award in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or Caring
- for Children and Young People or equivalent.
- Ability to show leadership skills
- Experience of managing budgets
- Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections
