Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative, award-winning recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Nurse Lead to work full-time based in York.
The salary for this role is £40,640.60 per annum.
The support this service provides includes the provision of residential, nursing, and domiciliary care in both registered homes and extra care schemes.
Main Duties:
- Be responsible for the management, clinical leadership, and direction of the nursing service through expert advice, reporting to the Registered Manager
- Lead and develop the nursing team by ensuring nurse skills, knowledge and best practice is adhered to and up to date, including sourcing and providing training for nurses to ensure skills, knowledge, and best practice
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing, care and support services which treats people with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect and reflects the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and other relevant professional guidelines
- Champion our values and behaviours and focus on our outcomes; specifically, that our residents are independent and well, and are empowered to shape their communities
- Take full line management responsibility for the nursing team including day to day supervision, clinical advice, appraisals, team meetings and leading on all people management processes
- Promoting and maintaining high standards of nursing care, aligned to the NMC Code and CQC standards, Depravation of Liberty Standards (DOLs) Safeguarding and MCA Act 2005, alongside internal policies, and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practice guidance
- Working in partnership with external stakeholders including Commissioners, Local Authority, GPs, and relevant external stakeholders
- Working alongside Deputies and RM with admissions process, including assessments, applications for funding and development of tailored care
- To support complex reviews with external professionals and family members supporting registered managers and care teams
- Keep confidential records up to date and pass on important information to other staff in a timely way
- Review and Complete incident / accident forms, investigating and where possible implementing preventative measures immediately
- Overseeing the medicine management, ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored, and administered in line with policy and standard operating procedures

Requirements:
- To be a Registered General Nurse with an active NMC PIN
- Strong leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
