Dietitian – Community ENT Feeding / Oral Nutrition Support

Location: Ruislip. Greater London

Contract Type: Locum ongoing contract

Dietitian Pay Rate: £26 per hour (assignment rate)

Duties of the Dietitian:

• To provide specialist dietetic assessment and treatment programmes to adult patients in their own homes, requiring nutritional support, including Home Enteral Tube Feeding
• To make a clinical judgment and explanation of nutritional status and to formulate individualised treatment plans and deliver appropriate interventions.
• To make recommendations to GPs on the appropriate prescribing of oral nutrition supplements and enteral feeds.
• To follow local policies and guidance regarding appropriate prescribing practices
• To undertake the measurement and evaluation of own clinical work and practice through the use of evidence based projects, practice development work, audit and outcome measures.
• To be responsible for own specialist caseload of clients who are at risk of malnutrition, malnourished or enterally fed and maintain associated records.

Requirements of the Dietitian:

• Degree or equivalent in dietetics
• Recent UK experience working as an Dietitian
• Registered with the HCPC to work in the UK
