Global Healthcare Jobs, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 7 Occupational Therapist to take on a new locum role.

Location: Aldeburgh

Contract Type: Locum ongoing contract

Pay Rate: £30 per hour (assignment rate)

Duties of the Occupational Therapist:

  • To have high level skills and experience in assessing, managing and treating patients with a neuro presentation.
  • To work across multiple specialities on wards in Ipswich hospital, supporting patients with initial assessments, discharge planning and rehabilitation.
  • To work within a multidisciplinary team to support patients on their journey through the acute hospital, with a focus on patient goals and proactively supporting discharge planning in advance of being
  • medically optimised for discharge ensuring patients are supported to leave the acute hospital on the correct pathway.
  • To support junior registered staff members and unregistered staff with patients care and clinical reasoning.
  • To provide support as required students on placement within the team.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience
  • Registered with the HCPC
