Location: Isle of Wight

Contract Type: Locum Ongoing contract

Pay Rate: £35 per hour (assignment rate)

Duties of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Provide a service to children and young people age 0-18 and their families that are experiencing emotional health and wellbeing difficulties.
  • Provide high quality care and treatment in conjunction with other professionals and work in partnership with other agencies to provide seamless, flexible services which meet service user and carer need.
  • Will be responsible, together with the wider team, for providing care, interventions and health promotion to people with severe mental health problems in the community and eating disorders.
  • Undertake a supervisory role in respect to multi-disciplinary junior team members and work alongside the multi-disciplinary team and Team Leader on clinical issues such as therapeutic approaches and care co-ordination
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner, as well as taking all opportunities to become actively involved in training and teaching programmes, both within the Trust and the wider community.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience
  • Registered with the HCPC
