Global Healthcare Jobs, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to take on a new locum role.

Location: Birmingham

Contract Type: Locum ongoing contract

Pay Rate: £25 per hour (assignment rate)

Duties of the Occupational Therapist:

  • To be responsible for the assessment and on-going therapeutic management of children in a designated community area/ clinic.
  • The postholder will competently assess and deliver OT programmes to children in the service without the need for direct supervision and will be accountable for their own clinical work as well as to their nominated supervisor.
  • To provide OT intervention at a specialist level, functioning as an integral member of multi-professional team to support in the holistic assessment, diagnosis and intervention of children and young people according to agreed contracts.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience of working as a specialist therapist with children and families in a range of multi-disciplinary and / or multi-agency teams in Local Authority and Health settings
  • Experience of diagnostic assessment and intervention in specialist area of service
  • Recent NHS experience
  • Registered with the HCPC
