Sanctuary Personnel, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to take on a new locum role.

Contract Type: Locum ongoing contract
Pay Rate: £42 per hour (assignment rate)

Duties of the Occupational Therapist:
- To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team within the Therapy and Enabling Team, Adult Disability Service.
- To manage a defined caseload, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
- Maintain clinical records and participate in service development and evaluation of Occupational Therapy within Adult Community Services Directorate as appropriate.
- To work autonomously, managing a defined client group.
- To carry out and record comprehensive assessment and treatment intervention as per legal and professional guidelines and standards and in accordance with local policy.
- To formulate and deliver specific Occupational Therapy treatment programmes using evidence based practice and skilled clinical reasoning.
- To use effective communication, reasoning and negotiation skills when working with service user and their carers, as well as the Therapy & Enabling team and the wider Adult Disability multi-disciplinary team.
- To work collaboratively with the service user, their carers and the MDT to set agreed realistic goals, actions and outcomes.
- To provide support, guidance, teaching and clinical supervision to Therapy Technicians, Assistants and students.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience
- Registered with the HCPC
