Location: Birmingham
Contract Type: Locum ongoing contract
Pay Rate: £25 per hour (assignment rate)

Duties of the Occupational Therapist:
- Work within an outpatient neurological service with patients who have recently being diagnosed with a neurological event.
- Be part of the interdisciplinary team (IDT) delivering high quality specialist occupational therapy for clients by adherence to clinical governance and evidence-based practice.
- Provide service in a range of community settings using highly developed specialist practice underpinned by theoretical knowledge/neuro qualifications.
- Be a specialist resource of information for health and social care staff, patients, families, carers and external agencies who may require advice, support and guidance in the management of these patients.
- Transfer individual patients’ on-going care to other agencies as appropriate and ensure that the service provided is conducted in a professional, efficient, and effective way.
- To meet the service specification objectives as part of a team providing high quality neuro service
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience
- Registered with the HCPC
