Global Healthcare Jobs, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency looking for an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to work in Bath on a full-time basis.

The salary for this permanent Registered Nurse/ODP job is £28,000 – £34,812 per annum + £3000 welcome aboard bonus.

Shift Pattern:

  • Full-Time or Part Time Shift patterns: 08:00 am -16:00 pm; 10:00 am – 18:00 pm; 08:00 am – 18:00 pm
  • Monday – Friday occasional Saturdays

Duties:

  • Provide excellent nursing care, and to actively participate in and contribute to the management in the Endoscopy Unit
  • Participate in the maintenance of endoscopes and other specialised equipment used in endoscopic and non-endoscopic procedures and provide technical assistance during such procedures
  • Set, monitor and maintain excellent standards of nursing care working within company policies and procedures
  • Provide technical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic procedures, ensuring safe working practice
  • Ensure a friendly environment, maintaining personal contact with patients and relatives, being sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity and privacy
  • Maintain timely and accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality
  • Store, check and administer drugs in accordance with established standards and guidelines
  • Work with minimal supervision during endoscopic procedures, admission and recovery of patients and other related procedures
  • Contribute to the local resolution, investigation and follow up action of any informal or formal complaints
  • Participate in the care and maintenance of endoscopes and other specialised equipment, ensuring agreed standard of decontamination including accurate records of traceability of all endoscopes and associated equipment
  • Ensure the safe discharge of all patients from the Endoscopy unit
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment within the clinical area

Requirements of the Registered Nurse/ODP:

 

  • A highly motivated Registered Nurse or ODP and have the drive, ambition and commitment to deliver the highest standards of patient care
  • Have NMC of HCPC registration and a demonstrable record of CPD with knowledge and current experience of professional practice within Endoscopy department
