Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Domiciliary Care Worker to work full time based in Horsham.
The hourly for this permanent job zero-hour contract is £11.39 looking full and part time
Purpose of Position:
To provide highly individualised flexible support to people with disabilities or health needs living in the own homes. To respect the lifestyle and choices of clients to ensure they lead fulfilling lives.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- To assist with daily living activities specified within the client Care plan
- To support clients to take part in social or community events as required
- To monitor the well being of clients
- Personal Care; i.e. assistance with washing, bathing and toileting
- Domestic duties; i.e. assisting with shopping, housework and laundry
- Food Preparation; i.e. preparing and cooking meals and cleaning prior and after. Ensure food is stored safely following guidelines
- Companionship; i.e. social stimulation within clients own homes or accompanying them on visits (i.e. health appointments, social visits, short trips or holidays)
- Live in Care; i.e. providing a live In Service on a short term or long term basis
- International Travel, agreed on a case by case basis to support clients wishing to travel abroad
- Monitoring Client Health and Wellbeing – Ensuring all care notes are completed accurately
- Medication support – in line with client care and risk assessments
- Working in partnership with other care providers and health professionals and family members
- Wearing full PPE in line with local and national guidance
Working Conditions:
The hours of work are varied and flexible dependent upon the work which is available. Shifts include short domiciliary visits which start from 30 minutes to 12.5 hours in length, Waking Night Duty and Live in Care. The work includes travelling within Horsham and surrounding Villages.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Experience is preferable but not always necessary, as full training will be provided including on-going career development training
- Applicants must be able to provide a minimum of three references at least one of which must be professional
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate the right to live and work in the UK
- All applicants must undergo a full enhanced DBS check
