Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Service Manager to work full time based in Herne Bay (Multi site), Kent.

The salary for this permanent job is up to £38,000 – £45,000  

Our client is a leading provider of high-quality care services for individuals with forensic mental health needs and learning disabilities. They are dedicated to delivering person-centred care that promotes independence, well-being, and rehabilitation. They facility is designed to support individuals on their journey to recovery and reintegration into the community.

They are seeking an experienced and compassionate Service Manager to lead our team at our Forensic Mental Health and Learning Disability Home. The services have six beds across two buildings.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health and learning disability care, as well as exceptional leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Forensic Mental Health and Learning Disability Home.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to residents.
  • Lead and manage a dedicated team of care professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs and goals.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including CQC (Care Quality Commission) requirements.
  • Manage the budget effectively and ensure the efficient allocation of resources.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in care delivery.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level 5 in Health and Social Care
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a mental health or learning disability care setting
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including the Mental Health Act
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and promoting residents’ well-being
