Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Support Worker to work up to full time based in Tonbridge, Kent.

The salary for this permanent job is up to £22,105

We are looking for Support Workers to work with us in Tonbridge, supporting adults with learning disabilities, Down syndrome, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy. We have several services in this area which all have good public transport links to the town centre and train station (approx. 15 minutes on a bus).

The Recruitment Team will discuss with you the different services we have available during a telephone interview.

  • Supporting our people to be engaged in all day to day living activities, including making full use of their community and beyond.
  • Supporting our people with social activities, and connecting with family and friends.
  • Supporting the management of our people’s finances.
  • Keeping our people’s home clean and fresh, and going shopping.
  • Providing, and encouraging, personal care.
  • And enjoying what you do!
  • Full time and part time hours available.
  • Full UK Driving license & access to own vehicle is desirable.

Experience in social care is not essential, we provide a full range of accredited and award winning training programmes at no cost to yourself, including the Health and Social Care Diploma that will really support your career progression

Requirements of this job:

  • Level 2 in Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent, or willingness to undertake this
  • Experience of caring for Learning Disability and Behaviours that Challenge  
  • Experience of working in the community or care home on a one-to-one basis with service users
  • Knowledge of the issues affecting vulnerable people
  • Understanding of the need to keep within professional boundaries
  • The ability to be flexible to fit in with the shift patterns including days, nights, weekends, and bank/public holidays.
