GHJ, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Registered Manager within the Children’s Residential Service to work full time for Northridge Care Group, based in South Ribble, Preston.

The salary for this Registered Manager job is up to £55,000 per annum.

Main duties:

  • Provide leadership creating an emotionally secure, consistent, warm, supportive, and nurturing environment appropriate to the physical, social, cultural, and religious needs of young people.
  • Ensure that the home is run in line with Northridge Care Group Ltd policies and procedures, children’s legislation, regulations, and good practice and meets OFSTED standards at all times.
  • Develop and implement care plans for young people that include a variety of intervention strategies with emphasis behaviour management and development of coping mechanisms.
  • Ensure that staff deliver the support required in order to ensure that the life chance opportunities of young people are met in relation to their social, educational, leisure, emotional, physical and cultural needs.
  • Lead on the development and implementation of strategies in response to challenging behaviours ensuring these are consistently applied in the home.
  • Ensure that you lead the safeguarding culture at Northridge Care Group Ltd, safeguarding and protect the health, safety and well-being of children.
  • Ensure that an open culture is created, in which young people are able to express their views in a non-judgemental setting, be involved in individual and collective decision-making and feel that they have choice and agency.
  • Ensure that staff are motivated to deliver high standards of care, that they receive regular developmental supervision and have access to training and development.
  • Ensure that the key worker system is well embedded in the home, understood by all staff and that its effectiveness is monitored.
  • Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service managing any areas of disagreement in a collaborative manner.
  • At all times promote and ensure anti-discriminatory practice.
  • Lead in managing rota’s and covering staff shortage.
  • Lead in managing the homes budget.
  • Participate in/lead meetings professionally and effective (staff meetings, professional meetings).

Requirements of this Registered Manager:

  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Must be eligible/willing for DBS.
  • Must have Level 5 or have it in progress
  • Must have a driving licence.
