Global Healthcare Jobs, a compassionate and forward-thinking recruitment agency, is excited to offer a new and rewarding opportunity as a Residential Child Support Worker (Waking Nights) at a Children’s home in Brighton and Hove.

The salary for this permanent Waking Nights Support Worker job is up to £27,872.

Main Duties:

  • Assist young people with day-to-day tasks such as education, laundry, budgeting, and teaching independent life skills
  • Accompany young people to community activities and appointments
  • Monitor and support healthcare needs, including medication administration
  • Adapt communication to meet the individual needs of each young person
  • Collaborate with professionals, including doctors and therapists, to ensure consistent support
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports
  • Participate in key work sessions with young people
  • Follow structured reporting and safeguarding procedures
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, training sessions, and supervision

Requirements:

  • A Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent, or willingness to undertake this
  • Minimum of 3-6 months’ experience in Children’s residential care
  • Good observation and listening skills
  • Organised and works well under pressure
  • Work well within a team
