Global Healthcare Jobs, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse to take on a new ongoing contract role as a community practitioner within a vulnerable adults pathway team.

Community Mental Health Nurse Pay Rate: £26 per hour (assignment rate)

Location: Lambeth, Greater London

Contract Type: Locum, 3-Months and Full-time – 37.5 hours per week

Duties of the Community Mental Health Nurse:

  • Responsible for the delivery of assessment, brief treatment and/or referral onwards to mainstream services
  • Act as link workers providing support and advice to workers in those projects and operate clinics as necessary
  • You will work closely with the NMP and Peer Support Worker in the team to offer a new and robust service to this excluded group, many of whom will have dual diagnosis and personality disorders
  • Assess, plan, monitor and evaluate care of a designated caseload of homeless service users who have complex care needs and who are living in the Lambeth Vulnerable Adult hostels
  • Attend reviews, case conferences, network meetings, ward and community based multi-disciplinary hearings, Mental Health Review Tribunals and Managers Hearings as a representative of the department

Requirements of the Community Mental Health Nurse:

  • Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
  • Experience working as a Community Psychiatric Nurse
  • NMC Registration
  • Experience working in an NHS setting
  • Experience working in a mental health or homelessness setting
