What you will do:
– Conduct psychological assessments for children and young people, evaluating cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs within their learning environments.
– Prepare comprehensive, high-quality reports with insightful recommendations for schools, parents, and other professionals.
– Provide expert consultation to school staff, parents, and other professionals to implement interventions for students with additional needs.
– Develop and carry out psychological interventions, working with individuals and small groups to support their development.
– Offer training and workshops to school staff on child development, psychological strategies, and behavior management.
– Collaborate closely with various agencies, including social services and healthcare providers, to deliver holistic support to students and families.
– Guide schools in developing inclusive practices and promoting student emotional wellbeing.
Essential requirements:
– A Doctorate or Master’s level qualification in Educational Psychology (or equivalent).
– HCPC registration as an Educational Psychologist.
– Proven experience in educational settings, understanding psychological assessment tools, and intervention strategies.
– Proficiency in working with children and young people with special educational needs, mental health issues, and behavioral difficulties.
– Strong communication skills for collaborating with children, families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable attributes:
– Experience working in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets or similar urban settings.
– Familiarity with local services and resources to support children and families in Tower Hamlets.
