Global Healthcare Jobs, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency looking for an experienced and dedicated Functional Assessor (Nurse/Paramedic/Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist) to work in Croydon, Greater London on a full-time basis.
The salary for this permanent Functional Assessor job is £35,000 per annum.
Benefits:
- Initial training salary starting at £35,000 (Based on Full-Time- 40 hours per week) with incremental increases based on stage of training, with fully qualified salary at £37,333 per annum (Based on Full-Time-40 hours per week)
- Standard hours 08:30-17:00 Monday-Friday with no weekends, nights or bank holidays required
- Paid training to become a certified Functional Assessor/Disability Analyst
- £400 annual CPD allowance
- Flexible working hours and days (after 6 month probation)
- Long service awards (opportunity to earn an additional £4,850 within 3.5 years!)
- Company closure over the Christmas period
Duties:
- Work on behalf of the DWP assessing claimants who have applied for PIP (Personal Independent Payment) benefit
- Use your clinical background and knowledge of conditions to assess a variety of conditions including mental health, physical, sensory and cognitive conditions, as part of a holistic assessment
- Complete 3-4 functional assessments per day on behalf of the Department of work and pension (DWP)
- Assessing a range of health conditions
- Analyse medical evidence and then present a comprehensive report, which will then be sent to the DWP to make the decision
Requirements of the Functional Assessor:
- Nurses (RMN, RGN, RNLD)/Paramedic/Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist
- Post registration with no restrictions on pin
- A broad clinical knowledge base, with experience working with individuals with a variety of different health conditions
- Ability to work autonomously and IT/ typing skills competency are essential
