Global Healthcare Jobs, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Community Nurse (RGN) to work in Isle of Wight on a full-time basis.

The salary for this permanent Community Nurse job is £35,392 – £42,618 per annum.

Duties:

  • Act as a Senior Staff Nurse within the team with responsibility for assisting the running and safe effective operation of delivering acute care at home
  • Provide specialist respiratory advice, crisis support and/or Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) depending on operational need and at the discretion of the team lead
  • Maintain key working relationships with a multi-disciplinary team including hospital and primary care clinicians/practitioners, district/specialist nursing colleagues, medical microbiologist, and antibiotic pharmacists

Requirements of the Community Nurse:

  • Demonstrate a continued commitment to professional development
  • Understand duty to adhere to policies and protocols applicable to infection prevention and control
  • Be aware of the Infection Control policies and other key clinical policies relevant to their work and how to access them
  • Demonstrate the values and vision by showing you care for others, that you act professionally as part of a team and that you will continually seek to innovate and improve
  • Registered nurse with current NMC registration
  • Mentorship/ ENB 998 or equivalent
  • Specialist Practice Degree (SPQ) in District Nursing OR Recent experience of Community Nursing/ Community Health care and a willingness to undertake SPQ
  • Physically capable of performing the role and responsibilities expected of the post holder, e.g. Moving and handling, lone working
  • Car driver with clean licence Awareness of personal safety
