NHS Podiatrist – Community

Global Healthcare Jobs, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency looking for a Podiatrist to work for the NHS based in Essex.

Location: Essex – Clinics across South East and Community Site across South West

Contract Type: Locum Ongoing contract – Full-time 37.5hrs per week

Pay Rate: £25 per hour

Duties of the Podiatrist

• Autonomously assess and diagnose patients with a diverse range of medical and podiatric conditions, using appropriate diagnostic techniques, skills and tools.
• Work in collaboration with specialist teams, GP’s, and other health care professionals.
• Work in accordance with the departments standards and professional codes of conduct.
• Participate and comment on proposed service improvements and transformation within the department.
• Participate in new patient assessment clinics, nail surgery, ulcer clinics, with opportunities to shadow specialist musculoskeletal podiatrists in biomechanics clinics and specialist diabetes podiatrists in the multidisciplinary diabetic foot service/ hospital settings as appropriate.

Requirements of the Podiatrist

• Qualified podiatrist i.e. Degree or equivalent within Podiatry
• Recent experience within podiatry
• Registered with the HCPC as a podiatrist to work in the UK
• NHS experience would be advantageous but not essential
