Global Healthcare Jobs, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency looking for experienced and dedicated Band 3/4 Support Workers to work in Castel on a full-time basis.
The salaries for these permanent Support Worker jobs are £27,950 – £37,967 per annum.
Duties:
- Work with children and families in a variety of settings, supporting vulnerable Young People and ensuring their general wellbeing needs are identified, met and maintained
- Carry out a wide range of duties as part of a team and independently and will ensure a high level of quality care is delivered for the service users
- Participate in providing and maintaining a homely environment promoting “Ordinary life Principles” respecting the dignity and rights of the service users accessing the Short Breaks Service
- Be responsible to the Team Leaders and Deputy Manager, and be accountable to the Manager, Children’s Short Break Service
- Work with children and young people in a variety of settings including the Croft, accessing community activities and in the family home
- Work directly with the children identifying and reporting any changes in a service user’s condition or health status
- Assist service users with all aspects of daily living such as washing, dressing, eating and mobility
- Maintain privacy and dignity of service users when assisting with personal care
- Contribute to the holistic assessment and support of the service users to ensure their general wellbeing needs are identified, met and maintained
- Follow and implement care plans as directed
Requirements of the Support Workers:
- Communicate effectively with service users and significant others
- Understand the purpose and participate fully in supervision and appraisals regarding your work and development needs and attend regular staff meetings to keep up to date with current team issues
- A supportive attitude towards health and wellbeing, and educational achievement
- Experience at Band 2 or Level 2 VQ Diploma in Health or Social Care or equivalent
- Level 3 VQ Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Hold a valid driving licence
- Previous experience working as a Support Worker
