Sanctuary Personnel, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency looking for an experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapist to take on a new locum role.

Location: Wolerhampton

Contract Type: Locum ongoing contract

Pay Rate: £36.45 per hour (assignment rate)

Duties of the Occupational Therapist:

  • To take a lead responsibility for some complex assessments and undertake other complex assessments jointly with Community Care Assessors or Social Workers.
  • To offer specialist advice to the team on clients’ functional, psychological and physical abilities using own professional knowledge base.
  • To take responsibility to ensure that appropriate parts of service packages (eg equipment and adaptations) are processed and monitored, in liaison with other departments.
  • To provide leadership for junior staff, through supervision and appraisal.
  • To undertake assessments  and write reablement plans, monitor outcomes and provide professional support to reablement workers.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience
  • Registered with the HCPC
