Location: Birmingham

Contract Type: Locum ongoing contract

Pay Rate: £30 per hour (assignment rate)

Duties of the Occupational Therapist:

  • As part of the Integrated Provision the post holder will work in partnership with the Early Intervention Community Team (EICT) to assist in the prevention of inappropriate hospital admissions and the facilitation of hospital discharge in line with the overall objectives of the service.
  • Act as an experienced practitioner for Occupational Therapy within the Adults Community Services Division.
  • Ensure access to urgent and routine Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions. Provide and monitor treatment programmes at home to maximize independence and refer to other services if appropriate. They will work in partnership with patients, carers and other health and social care agencies to promote independence and develop individual plans of care relevant to person needs.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience
  • Registered with the HCPC
