Global Healthcare Jobs, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency looking for an experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapist to work in Saffron Walden on a full-time basis.
The salary for this permanent Occupational Therapist job is £35,000 – £40,000 per annum.
Main Duties:
- You will be working with adults and children to provide solutions to their housing needs. Clients may have physical, sensory and mental health issues and some may be wheelchair users.
- Your role will be to identify risks in the home and to identify solutions to mitigate these risks.
- You will be competent at documenting your work and clinical reasoning, for example writing case notes, reports and specifications and presenting your cases in a variety of ways and in a number of different forums.
- You will be required to travel by car to support clients in the Southend on Sea area and, at least one day in every week, travel to the office in Saffron Walden. You must hold a valid driving licence and have suitable transport. You will be reimbursed for your mileage.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Bachelor of Science honours degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Registered with the Royal College of Occupational Therapy
- Current driving licence and access to transport (travel expenses will be paid per HMRC guidelines)
- Up to date first aid, manual handling and safeguarding training.
- 2- 3 years occupational therapist experience specialising in Housing and Manual Handling
- Some experience working with surveyors, architects, building trades and planning departments
