Occupational Therapist – Neuro

Global Healthcare Jobs, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist to take on a new locum role.

Location: Welwyn, Hertfordshire

Contract Type: Locum ongoing contract

Pay Rate: £25 – £30 per hour (assignment rate)

Working Hours: Full-time/Part-time – 22.5hrs – 37.5hrs – Mon-Fri (days/hrs negotiable) 08:30-16:30 – negotiable.

Duties of the Occupational Therapist:

• You will be expected to manage a caseload of up to 8 patients. You will provide up to an hour of daily input to these patients alongside other physio’s, OTs and rehabilitation assistants using a range of therapeutic adjuncts.
• There will be an expectation to “link-work” 1-2 of your patients. This means you will coordinate the care and discharge planning of that patient, liaising with family members and chairing meetings where appropriate.
• Accurate and timely documentation onto systmOne will then be required for each patient. As well as handing over any relevant information to the MDT.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

• Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
• Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience in the assessment, treatment and management of complex neurological conditions including Stroke, Spinal Cord Injuries and Traumatic Brain Injuries.
• Recent NHS experience
• Registered with the HCPC
