Global Healthcare Jobs, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency looking for an experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapist to take on a new locum role.
Location: Midsomer Norton
Contract Type: Ongoing contract
Pay Rate: £24 – £28 per hour (assignment rate – depending on experience)
Shift Pattern: Full time, will accept 4 days. 37.5 hours per week. Monday – Friday, 08:30 am – 16:30 pm.

Duties:
- Work across B&NES to visit service users in their own homes
- Undertake moving and handling risk assessments and arrange delivery and demonstration of moving and handling equipment
- Provide moving and handling plans and recommendations to ensure the safety of service users and carers
- Complete general occupational therapy assessments
- Arrange for the provision of equipment that will meet service user needs and to give instructions on the use of the equipment to the individual and carers
- Undertake assessments for minor and major home adaptations and provide recommendations predominantly through the Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) process
- Produce occupational therapy housing reports for service users when re-housing is necessary
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- Recent NHS experience
- Registered with the HCPC
- An experienced Adult Social Care Occupational Therapist who has a proven background in complex moving and handling, assessment and provision of equipment and minor and major adaptations work (DFGs)
- Car driver
