Global Healthcare Jobs, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Clinical Pharmacist to work in London on a full-time basis.

The salary for this permanent Senior Clinical Pharmacist job is £60,000 – £66,000 per annum.

Duties:

  • Both clinical speciality responsibilities and clinical project responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical strategies around medicines optimisation in complex clinical areas
  • Providing high quality, highly specialised pharmaceutical advice and support to the Critical Care Unit as well as other designated areas where specialist skills and knowledge apply
  • Lead on or support practice research in collaboration with the Lead Clinical Pharmacist and in line with service priorities
  • Some project work is related to ensuring safe and effective systems are in place
  • Leading the planning and implementation of assigned projects as per project timelines
  • Resource planning
  • Quality assurance
  • Carrying out risk assessments
  • Managing project administration, including documentation
  • Tracking project performance
  • Project evaluations and results measurement

Requirements of the Senior Clinical Pharmacist:

  • Completion of a Master’s degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent)
  • Post graduate clinical diploma in clinical pharmacy (hospital) or equivalent experience
  • Completion or working towards an independent prescribing accreditation (desirable)
  • Full registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Ability to speak and write in English is required
  • Demonstrate the values and upholds the principles of clinical governance
  • Demonstrates a broad knowledge of clinical medicines and an advanced level of knowledge in critical care medicines
  • Demonstrates compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity
  • Ability to mentor, coach, supervise or be a tutor to allocated staff, e.g. for diploma students and pre- registration pharmacist
  • Ability to undertake analysis and critical review of treatment options
  • Ability to critically analyse complex and difficult situations and apply problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate professionalism, critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a pressurised environment and take appropriate action
  • Ability to produce clear, concise and well-articulated presentations
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
