Our team at Global Healthcare Jobs is seeking a Senior Mammographer to join our Rotational Team.

This role involves supporting patients in a state-of-the-art hospital, utilizing the latest immaging technology.

What will your duties include as a Senior Mammographer?

  • Working at our new outpatient facilities, 
  • Utilizing your technical ability to manipulate a range of equipment, whilst maintaining patient comfort and adequately ensure the safe movement of patients into imaging position.
  • Utilising outcome measures to enhance patient care.
  • Use appropriate touch techniques to locate external bony landmarks.
  • You will be performing X-ray examination as required and within the scope of Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R).
  • Utilise and understand the Picture Archiving and Communication system (PACS) and Computed Radiography (CR) and Digital Radiography (DR) systems. 
  • As a category (a) Authorised person take full responsibility for the presence of unauthorised persons for the duration of their presence in the controlled area.
  • To have a robust knowledge of all potential MRI emergencies and how to manage each emergency whilst ensuring MRI safety is not compromised.
  • Utilising safe moving and handling techniques and ensuring only MRI compatible equipment is taken into the Controlled Area.

What do we need from you?

  • Current valid Healthcare Professional Council (HCPC) registration required.
  • Relevant post Graduate experience with a post DCR in Mammography ascertain in the UK from a HCPC recognised institute required.
  • Highly developed specialist Diagnostic Radiology knowledge, underpinned by theory and experience.
