Key Responsibilities

Lead on complex cases, offering supervision and guidance to less experienced colleagues.

Carry out detailed assessments of children and families, ensuring they receive appropriate interventions and support.

Formulate, implement, and regularly review care and safeguarding plans that are child-focused and outcome-driven.

Collaborate with a wide range of professionals including education, health, police, and voluntary services to deliver joined-up support.

Uphold statutory responsibilities under the Children Act, safeguarding frameworks, and local procedures.

Represent the Trust at meetings, court proceedings, and multi-agency panels where necessary.
Essential Criteria

Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.

Significant post-qualification experience in statutory children’s services.

Strong understanding of child protection, looked after children, and relevant legislation and frameworks.

Proven ability to manage complex cases independently.

Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
