Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Senior Social Worker within the Community See Solve & Active Recovery Team to work full time based in Hull.
The salary for this permanent Senior Social Worker job is up to £38,296 per annum.
Main duties:
- To promote and safeguard the welfare of adults at risk, families and their carers, within the making safeguarding personal principles.
- Undertake proportionate assessments, determine eligibility, and assess risk. Plan care and support and make the best use of available resources to enable people to live the life they choose. To ensure people are given correct financial advice and information about charging processes of the council.
- Engages in critical reflective and constructive challenge within the course of working with colleagues, other agencies and with vulnerable adults and families.
- Actively engages in team meetings/practice forums and other relevant meetings ensuring focused and purposeful social work is undertaken with all cases.
- Works with colleagues in the team to ensure the form of communication are clear and aligned with people’s needs. Demonstrate effective use of evidence-based social work practice. To ensure effective communication with people who have specific communication needs including learning disability, dementia , people who lack capacity and people with sensory impairment. Making sure advocacy arrangements are suitably in place.
- Works with colleagues in the team to ensure that case recording is up to date and that required information is available for a variety of purposes e.g. multi-agency meetings, strategy meetings, panels, court, case conferences etc.
- Engages in the professional decision-making process with colleagues in relation to complex/high risk cases.
- Actively engages in team meetings/practice forums and other relevant meetings ensuring focused and purposeful social work is undertaken.
- Works with colleagues in the team to ensure the form of communications are clear and aligned with people’s needs. Demonstrate effective use of evidence-based social work practice.
- Engages in the professional decision-making process with colleagues in relation to complex/high risk cases.
- Engages in and advises on the professional decision-making process with adults at risk, families and their carers, and colleagues in relation to complex/high risk cases.
- Prepares for and attends court as required in relation to specific cases where the engagement of legal processes is necessary.
- Actively supports and engages in practice development groups and the provision of information/professional opinion as required e.g. for policy amendments, newly developed ways of working.
Requirements of this role:
- A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Registered or eligible for registration.
- This post requires registration with the relevant health professional council/governing body (Social Care England).
