What you will do:

– Manage a complex caseload involving Child in Need, Child Protection, and care proceedings.
– Carry out statutory assessments and develop care plans to safeguard children and support families.
– Lead on court work, including preparing reports and giving evidence.
– Provide mentoring and support to junior social workers and students.
– Work in partnership with families and professionals using a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach.
– Chair and contribute to multi-agency meetings to coordinate safeguarding responses.
– Ensure high-quality case recording and compliance with legal and practice standards.
– Support service improvement efforts, including conducting audits and engaging in reflective practice.
