Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Senior Practitioner within the Family Support Team to work full time based in Bath and North East Somerset.
The salary for this permanent Senior Practitioner job is up to £39,571 per annum
Main Duties:
- To carry out the duties and responsibilities of the Children Act 1989, 2004 in particular and all other relevant legislation
- Undertake interviews, assessments, observations and information gathering
- Produce assessments and plans that identify explicit aims, objectives and outcomes within the context of safeguarding and managing risk in accordance with local procedures and timescales
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other professionals, partner agencies and schools
- To obtain feedback from service users at regular intervals to ensure we are meeting their needs
- To be familiar with the policies/protocols and guidance relevant to the area of work
- Ensure that the views of children and young people are at the centre of their assessments and that this is reflected in case recording, assessments and plans
- To maintain case records in accordance with departmental policy
- To undertake direct work with children and young people in accordance with their care plan
- To attend court and child protection conference alone and make appropriate decisions and recommendations unless outside budgetary control
- To ensure that families are given information in a form they can understand to access local support to meet their needs
- To contribute to the delivery of the LSCB training plan
- To participate in training and staff development in accordance with continuous professional development (CPD) and evidence-based learning
- To act as practice educator
Requirements of this Senior Practitioner job:
- A social work qualification or equivalent
- Understanding of relevant legislation
- Continual professional development
- Social Work England registered
