Location: Hackney

Contract Type/Length: Locum ongoing contract

Pay Rate: £25.53 per hour (Assignment rate)

Main Duties:

 

  • Work as a member of the Medical team providing an effective, customer focused and fully accessible service to residents wishing to join the housing register list to apply for social housing.
  • Carry out assessments and identified recommendations to provide equipment and adaptations that improve their quality of life and independence. In doing this they will work in partnership with service users, their carers, and a range of other professionals and colleagues.
  • Assist with recommendations for future housing needs and inspect properties. In addition review the suitability of a property to confirm it meets the needs of the household member with a medical need. Where needs can be met by simple equipment and adaptations the post holder will arrange for these to be provided, delivered and installed.

Requirements of the Therapy Assistant

  • Recent experience within Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy
  • NHS experience would be advantageous but not essential
