Global Healthcare Jobs, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency has an exciting Locum opportunity available for an experienced Social Work Assistant Team Manager to join a well-established Children’s service based in Swindon. The postholder will be working alongside other assistant team managers in ACP assessing all new cases that require a statutory assessment received through the front door of MASH. 

Team/Specialism: Front Line

Pay Rate: £41 per hour (assignment rate)

Contract: Locum, 3-Months

Hours: Candidates are expected in the office for 1 week during duty week. The rest can be flexible ensuring the needs of the service are met. This is a full time, position with great training and development opportunities within the Assessment and Child Protection Team.

Requirements of the Assistant Team Manager:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • Have experience of Front Door Child Protection, a Social Work qualification and training/management experience of the supervision of staff
  • Able to work to strict deadlines and make safe and robust decisions under pressure
  • Be flexible and able to deal with changing needs and requests at short notice
