Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for an Team Manager within the Fostering Team to work full time based in Stratford.

The salary for this permanent Team Manager job is up to £50,000 annum.

Main Duties:

  • To supervise Supervising Social Workers, Senior Practitioners, foster carers (when necessary) and other staff as are assigned and to ensure that they are informed of and fully comply with, all standards, policies and guidance, including safer caring guidelines, agreed by GLF.
  • To supervise the work of staff undertaking the updating of existing foster carers assessments and to ensure that the assessment reports on their suitability to meet the standard required by the Agency’s panel.
  • To participate in the design and delivery of training for staff, foster carers and potential foster carers.
  • To determine, prioritise and monitor workload and assign task to appropriate staff.
  • To provide assistance to staff in helping carers to solve problems arising from placement such as finance, equipment and transport and to represent the views of staff and carers to the registered manager and directors.
  • To undertake staff appraisals and to assist in the carer development of staff, by establishing training needs with them and making plans to meet these.

Requirements of this Team Manager job:

  • A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Continual professional development.
  • Social Work England registered.
