Locum Social Worker – Child Protection (CP) & Children in Need (CIN) Team
Location: Middlesbrough
Pay Rate: £36.00 per hour (Ongoing Contract)
Working Pattern: Full-Time or Part-Time
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced social worker to join the Child Protection (CP) & Children in Need (CIN) Team within Children’s Social Care in Middlesbrough. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed assessments to identify risks, needs, and strengths within families, ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
- Design and deliver intervention plans that are tailored to support and protect children and their families.
- Manage a varied caseload, ensuring timely interventions and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records in line with legal and professional standards.
- Collaborate with external professionals, including healthcare providers, educators, and law enforcement, to deliver coordinated care and support.
- Advocate for the rights of children, ensuring their voices are heard and their best interests are prioritised in all decisions.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification.
- Registration: Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
- Experience: Proven experience working in child protection and children in need services.
- Skills: Strong assessment, communication, and organisational skills with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
