Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the allocated Social Worker for children in care proceedings or long-term care placements.

  • Undertake direct work with children to understand their lived experiences, wishes, and feelings.

  • Create and maintain life story work and books to support each child’s identity and development.

  • Develop, review, and amend individualised care plans to meet each child’s evolving needs.

  • Prepare reports for Children in Care reviews and court proceedings.

  • Work closely with carers, parents, family networks, IROs, Guardians, and professionals in health and education.

  • Travel to rural areas and placements across the region – a full UK driving licence is essential.
