Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent Social Work position on the Children with Disabilities Team at Bolton Council, near Manchester.
The salary for this role is up to £37,261 per annum
Main duties:
- The provision of a purposeful, professional social work service to disabled children and their families, including the assessment of carers needs, in accordance with statutory requirements and Departmental policies
- To contribute to the planning and development of the Team’s and the Department’s services to children and families, as required and as appropriate.
- To participate in the organisation and administration of the work of the post to ensure the provision of service is completed.
- To provide management information to assist in the setting, implementing and monitoring of the Department’s strategies and services.
- To provide an Office Duty service responding to enquiries appropriately including the provision of generic advice and information to all office callers.
- To undertake assessments of need, analyse risk and create child-centred, SMART plans to address identified needs.
- To undertake Child Protection Enquires where appropriate and take appropriate action to safeguard children’s welfare in line with Departmental and Statutory requirements.
- To assess, evaluate and review programmes of work with disabled children and their families, including the coordination and organisation of services both within and outside the Department.
- To work with Legal Services and the Courts, production of reports within agreed timescales.
- To provide professional knowledge, ideas, advice, evaluation and information to assist in the Department’s planning and development activities and to contribute to policies and standards.
- To attend reviews, case conferences, core groups and provide the appropriate advice, information and support to such forums.
- To plan, implement and review care plans including for children looked after.
- To organise and maintain effective use of IT systems and software
- To take responsibility for continuing development of self.
Requirements for this job:
- CQSW/ DipSW/CSS/ Social Work Degree or equivalent
- An enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service
- SWE – Must be registered with Social Work England
