Global Healthcare Jobs, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency looking for an experienced and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to work in Dublin on a full-time basis.

The salary for this permanent Speech and Language Therapist job is £37,522 – £64,381 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Conducting assessments to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Designing and implementing individualized therapy plans based on assessment results.
  • Providing therapy sessions to clients, both one-on-one and in group settings, using evidence-based techniques.
  • Evaluating, monitoring and documenting client progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
  • Collaborating with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure consistent and holistic care.
  • Participating in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
  • Be able to make clinical decisions following assessment of complex cases.
  • Arrange and carry out assessment and treatment / intervention programmes in line with local policy / guidelines.
  • Communicate results of assessments and recommendations to the service user and relevant others as appropriate.
  • Document all assessments, diagnoses, treatment / intervention plans, clinical notes, relevant contacts and summaries in accordance with department and professional standards.
  • Provide clinical leadership in the day-to-day running of the service by supporting and supervising staff, prioritising and allocating work and promoting positive staff morale.
  • Manage, participate and play a key role in the practice education of student therapists and promote and engage in the teaching / training / support / supervision of others as appropriate.
  • Engage in planning and performance reviews, as required with the Speech and Language Therapist Manager and/or Clinical Team Manager.
  • Contribute to service developments by monitoring and evaluating emerging needs and trends in consultation with team members.
  • Develop the role of the Senior Speech and Language Therapist and the service e.g. through planning, audit, production of standards, continuing education, quality improvement initiatives and research.
  • Be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of service in designated area(s).
  • Ensure good working practice and adherence to standards of best practice.
  • Participate in the control and ordering of clinical equipment.

Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • CORU registration (or eligibility to register) as a Speech and Language Therapist in Ireland.
  • Have 3 years full time post qualification clinical experience.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy.
