Global Healthcare Jobs, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Support Worker to work full-time based in a Semi-independence/Supported Living home in Bracknell.
The salary for this permanent Support Worker job is up to £23,500 + Overtime.
Main Duties:
- Providing support and assistance to 16-24 residents in a semi-independent/support living setting
- Ensuring the well-being and safety of residents
- Collaborating with the team to create a nurturing and supportive environment
- Implementing and overseeing daily activities and routines
- To work alongside young individuals who need support developing skills that will enable them to fulfil the best opportunities in life
- Building rapport and trust with the individuals is an important skill needed to succeed in this role
- Ensuring that young individuals are safeguarded using risk assessments, care plans, risk management tools and individual support plans
- Paperwork is a key responsibility in this role as it’s important to document all support given to young individuals and to monitor any risks that may occur
Requirements of this job:
- Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent, or willingness to undertake this
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience working within Children’s residential care, Semi-independence living, or care roles
- Ability to show leadership skills
- Experience of managing budgets
- Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections
